Submission Guidelines:

  • Eligibility: Open to all emerging artists.

  • Submission Requirements:

    • Portfolio: 5-10 images of your work.

    • Artist Statement: Introduce yourself and your artistic practice.

    • Proposal: Briefly outline the work you wish to showcase.

    • Artist website (optional).

    • Contact Information: Include your email address and social media handles.

    • Any additional materials (if necessary), please provide a brief description.

Entry Fees:

  • Up to 5 submissions per artist.

  • Pay by credit card via Paypal or Venmo to [info@gongartgallery.com].

    • $25.00 for the first submission; and $5.00 for each subsequent submission.

  • Original Paintings (Watercolor, Oil, Acrylic, Water media, Pastel, Colour Pencils, Inks, Etchings, Mixed Media Collage, etc.)

  • Photography (all types of photography mediums)

  • 3-Dimensional Objects (sculpture, pottery/ceramics, woodworking, stone carving, mixed-media objects, mosaics, fiber arts, tilework, glass art, etc.)

All submissions will be juried for acceptance into the Gallery Show, with final judging determining inclusion. The chosen Artist is accountable for ensuring their work is delivered to the gallery for exhibition, bearing all associated costs.

Meet the Panel

  • Sanzi (散子)

    An artist holding a Bachelor's degree in oil painting, currently resides in Shanghai. With a global footprint, he has travelled to key art hubs like Hong Kong, New York, Paris, and Beijing. Sanzi is celebrated for his solo exhibitions in major cities, including Hong Kong, Shanghai, Miami, New York, Taipei, Singapore, and Kuala Lumpur, gaining recognition in local media. Inspired by "Lao-Zhuang Philosophy," Sanzi's works feature a distinctive blend of unique expression techniques and fairy tale-like imagery. His precise and evocative artistic style has positioned him as a noteworthy figure in the contemporary art scene.

  • Wang Chunchen (王春辰)

    A prominent curator and art critic, currently holds the positions of deputy director, professor, and doctoral supervisor at the Art Museum of the Central Academy of Fine Arts. In 2013, he curated the Chinese Pavilion at the 55th Venice International Art Biennale. Additionally, in 2012, he was selected by the Broad Institute of Fine Arts at Michigan State University in the United States, where he served as a special curator, organizing exhibitions that showcased Chinese contemporary art. This achievement marked him as "the first Chinese curator from mainland China to be hired by an American art museum," as recognized by the American Art Magazine.

  • Liu Yi

    Graduated from the Mural Department of the Central Academy of Fine Arts with a master's degree, is a globally acclaimed artist with a strong presence in the China-Italy Contemporary Art Biennale. His work has been exhibited internationally, including in China, the United States, Italy, and South Korea. Liu Yi has received prestigious awards, such as the Seoul Congress Award in South Korea and the "Attachment Outstanding Graduation Creation Scholarship" from the Central Academy of Fine Arts. His art, known for its seamless integration of cultural influences, solidifies his standing as a distinguished figure in contemporary art.
